This past Saturday my firm organized volunteers to do yardwork for folks who needed a hand. As a great sign I am associating with great people there were so many people who volunteered that I turned some away. There weren't enough houses to justify the additional labor.
Therese is 91 and lives on her own in White Bear Lake, but she has as much spunk as anyone. Over the course of 45 minutes I actually didn't touch a leaf, but heard some highlights of her life. I couldn't have spent the time any better. She was kind enough to step outside for a picture with the group.
Maybe this encourages you to do something similar. If you do, I guarantee you won't regret it. If it doesn't, you're really missing out.
